The Greenest Island of All
Known as the "Green Island", Mljet is a place of hypnotic tranquility. The northwestern part of the island is a protected National Park, famous for its two saltwater lakes—Veliko and Malo Jezero—surrounded by dense pine forests.
We dock in the charming port of Polače or Pomena. From there, you enter the park (tickets required) to walk, cycle, or swim in the lakes. The water in the lakes is warmer than the sea, making it a unique swimming experience.
Don't miss the boat ride to the tiny St. Mary’s Islet in the middle of the Great Lake, home to a 12th-century Benedictine monastery. It is peace, redefined.
